AX5 Select becomes the most affordable variant with panoramic sunroof

Mahindra has launched a new mid-variant for the XUV700 called the AX5 Select. The new variant, positioned between the AX3 and AX5 variants will be available with Petrol and Diesel engines with both MT and AT options.
Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select: what’s new
The newly launched AX5 Select variant will sit above the AX3 variant of the XUV700. Unlike the latter, it will be available in a 7 seater layout and will get feature additions such as a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25 inch screens, push button start/stop and second row map lights. The equipment list also includes features such as Wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, LED DRLs, Electrically adjustable ORVM, In-built Alexa and navigation among else.
Powering the AX5 Select variants will be 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel engine options which generate 200HP and 185HP respectively. Paired to these will be an option of 6 speed manual or a 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission. In terms of pricing, the Petrol MT and AT have been priced at Rs. 16.89 and Rs. 18.49 Lakhs respectively while the Diesel MT can be had at Rs. 17.49 Lakhs with the Diesel AT costing Rs. 19.09 Lakhs (All prices Ex-showroom).
The Mahindra XUV700 rivals other large SUVs such as the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Alcazar among others.
