Maruti Suzuki India has updated the Alto K10 by making six airbags a standard feature across all variants. This follows similar updates for the Celerio and Brezza, which also received six airbags as standard, along with a price increase. With this update, the price of the Alto K10 has risen by up to Rs 16,000, depending on the variant.
The new Alto K10 is available in four main variants: Standard, LXi, VXi, and VXi+, with a starting price of Rs 4.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The revised pricing includes:
• Standard variant: Rs 14,000 increase
• LXi variant: Rs 6,000 increase
• VXi variant: Rs 16,000 increase
• VXi+ variant: Rs 10,000 increase
Features and Safety Updates
The Alto K10 comes equipped with a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted controls, a digital speedometer, and a four-speaker audio system. Safety features include:
• ABS with EBD
• ESP (Electronic Stability Program)
• Rear parking sensors
• Three-point seat belts for all passengers
Engine and Performance
Powering the Alto K10 is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 67hp and 89Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT option, along with a CNG variant. The fuel efficiency figures are as follows:
• 24.39 km/l (manual)
• 24.90 km/l (AMT)
• 33.85 km/kg (CNG variant)
