In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris demonstrated impressive results. Protection for the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck was rated good, while the driver’s chest was deemed adequate and the passenger’s chest good. Both knees and tibias showed protection ranging from adequate to good.
The bodyshell integrity was rated stable, capable of withstanding further loadings, while the footwell area also received a stable rating. Side impact tests revealed good protection for the head, abdomen, and pelvis, with the chest rated adequate. The side pole impact test further confirmed good protection across all critical body areas.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris – Child Safety Explained
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris scored 24 out of 24 points in dynamic testing and 12 out of 12 in CRS installation, reflecting excellent child safety standards. Both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies were seated rearward-facing using ISOFIX anchors with support legs, offering full protection in both frontal and side impacts.
Additionally, three-point seatbelts are standard across all seating positions. Although the Victoris does not provide a passenger airbag cut-off switch, CRS installation was successful across all tested positions. This resulted in a score of 41.00 out off 49 and the SUV’s 5-star child occupant rating.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris comes equipped with a wide suite of safety assist features. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is standard and meets Global NCAP’s requirements. Seat Belt Reminders (SBRs) are available for all seats.
Six airbags are standard across all trims, alongside ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, and rear parking sensors. The higher variants include Level 2 ADAS and it becomes the first Maruti to offer this feature, offering adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. All-wheel disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring, and an electronic parking brake are also part of the safety suite.

The SUV is equipped with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster that offers multiple display modes. The model is positioned above the Brezza and sits alongside the Grand Vitara, with powertrain choices that include petrol, hybrid, CNG, and all-wheel drive. It will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
