The Nissan Gravite will be Nissan India’s first vehicle launch of 2026, with the official unveiling scheduled for 17th February 2026. The new compact MPV is based on the Renault Triber and uses the same CMF-A+ platform, sharing its structure, dimensions and core mechanical components. Nissan has so far released few teaser videos on its social handles, revealing limited exterior details and a clearer look at the interior layout and features.
While full specifications are yet to be disclosed, the teasers provide enough insight to understand the Gravite’s positioning, particularly in terms of interior functionality and seating flexibility.
Nissan Gravite Exterior – Expected Exterior Design and Platform
The Nissan Gravite carries a silhouette that is largely identical to the Renault Triber. This includes the tall roofline, compact bonnet, and three-row MPV proportions that define the segment. Since both models are built on the same platform, the overall stance and dimensions remain unchanged.
Due to camouflage and controlled teaser visuals, detailed exterior elements such as grille design, bumper styling and wheel options have not been fully revealed. However, Nissan has confirmed the presence of LED lighting elements, and the proportions clearly indicate that the Gravite retains the Triber’s practical and space-efficient body structure. More exterior details are expected to be revealed closer to the launch date.
Nissan Gravite – Expected Interior Design and Features
The interior of the Nissan Gravite has been partially revealed through teaser footage, highlighting the overall cabin layout. The dashboard features a centrally positioned touchscreen infotainment system, though the exact screen size has not been disclosed.
The steering wheel is leather-wrapped and comes equipped with steering-mounted controls for audio functions and cruise control.Material finishes and colour options have not yet been officially detailed, but the overall layout suggests a familiar setup based on the Triber with Nissan-specific updates. The Nissan Gravite offers a seven-seat configuration with a 5+2 layout. The second row also features a tumble down feature for access to the 3rd row. A key feature retained from the Triber is the removable third-row seats, allowing owners to increase luggage capacity when required.
Nissan Gravite – Expected Powertrain Details
The Nissan Gravite is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, the same unit used in the Renault Triber which produces 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque. This engine is expected to be offered with both manual and AMT transmission options, as confirmed by the teaser videos. No performance figures have been officially shared yet.
Nissan Gravite – Expected Safety Equipment
Safety equipment visible and expected on the Nissan Gravite includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and standard systems such as ABS and EBD. Teaser footage has also shown front and rear dash cameras, suggesting factory-fitted dash cams could be part of the package.
It is worth noting that the Renault Triber, which the Gravite is based on, has achieved a 4-star Global NCAP safety rating. While the Gravite has not yet been tested, and no official crash-test data is available at this stage, both vehicles share the same platform and structural architecture. The Nissan Gravite will directly compete with the Renault Triber, given their shared platform and overlapping use case.
