Simple Energy, has introduced its latest electric scooter, the Simple One S, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.40 lakh. Essentially a rebranded version of the Simple Dot One, the new name is part of an effort to streamline its model range. Prospective buyers can reserve the scooter online or at nearby dealerships, with deliveries set to start soon.
The scooter comes in four striking colors—Brazen Black, Grace White, Azure Blue, and Namma Red—and retains its sleek design and prominent road presence. Notably, the Simple One S is priced Rs 6,000 lower than the previous model. It is powered by a 3.7kWh fixed battery paired with an 8.5kW PMSM motor, offering a claimed range of 181 km under the Indian Driving Cycle—about 30 km more than its predecessor. According to the company, the scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.5 seconds, compared to 2.77 seconds previously, and it reaches a top speed of 105 km/h. Riders can choose from four different modes: Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic.
On the tech front, the scooter features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support. It also includes advanced features like a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and park assist. Mechanically, the Simple One S is equipped with a telescopic front fork and a centrally mounted mono-shock at the rear with preload adjustment, along with disc brakes at both the front and rear. With a seat height of 770 mm and a generous 35-litre under-seat storage, the scooter is designed for both comfort and practicality.
