2026 Skoda Kushaq Launch Date. Skoda has commenced production for the 2026 facelifted Skoda Kushaq, which was unveiled earlier this year in January with updated design, features, and equipment. With manufacturing now underway at Skoda Auto India’s facility in Maharashtra, the price announcement and official launch are expected to take place by the end of this month, with customer deliveries slated to begin from March 2026.

The updated Kushaq brings with it a sharper and more evolved design language. Up front, the facelift features a revised butterfly grille along with sleeker LED headlamps and redesigned DRLs that lend the SUV a more aggressive stance. The front bumper has been reprofiled to enhance the overall design, while the rear sees updated connected LED tail lamps and a refreshed bumper design for a more contemporary appearance. New alloy wheel designs further round off the exterior updates, giving the Kushaq a more premium and modern road presence.

On the inside, the facelifted Kushaq continues with its driver-focused layout but now packs in more premium features and improved material quality across the dashboard and door trims. The cabin now also features segment-first rear seat massage functionality, making the Kushaq the only compact SUV in its class to offer this comfort-oriented feature for rear passengers. The SUV also gets a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a premium sound system.

Mechanically, the Kushaq facelift continues with the same tried-and-tested 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engine options. The 1.0-litre TSI engine puts out 110 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque, whereas the 1.5-litre TSI engine produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, and also features Skoda’s Active Cylinder Technology.

However, the transmission options have been updated, with the 1.0-litre TSI engine now paired with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic, replacing the earlier 6-speed unit. The 1.5-litre TSI continues with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission but now also benefits from all-disc brakes, whereas the pre-facelift model only featured front disc brakes, marking a significant upgrade in braking performance and safety.

In terms of safety, the Kushaq facelift continues to offer a comprehensive package with multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, Hill Hold Control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, along with a rear parking camera and sensors.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift – Monte Carlo Edition

The facelifted Kushaq will also continue to be offered in the sporty Monte Carlo trim, which features blacked-out exterior elements, red highlights, exclusive upholstery, and distinctive badging for a more dynamic visual appeal both inside and out. The Monte Carlo Edition will be offered with both the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engine options, with now changes in power or torque outputs.

Positioned in the highly competitive compact SUV segment, the Kushaq facelift will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder Honda Elevate, and the Maruti Suzuki Victoris & Grand Vitara.
