The Kushaq Matte Edition gets based on the Style trim

As a part of Skoda’s initiative to keep their range updated, the Kushaq Matte edition has been launched at Rs. 16.19 Lakh(Ex-showroom). It is based on the Style trim and gets many changes including a matte paintjob and glossy exterior trim. The matte edition carries a premium of Rs. 40,000 over the Style variant and sits below the Monte Carlo edition.
Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition: New colour
The Kushaq Matte edition gets finished in a Carbon Steel Gray colour with a unique Matte finish. Along with the paint, it gets door handles, rear spoiler and ORVMs finished in glossy black to add sportiness. However, other bits like the grille, tailgate garnish and window line remain finished in chrome like the standard variants. It also sports a 1.5 TSI badge at the rear for the variants getting the likewise engine option.
Inside, the matte edition remains largely identical to the Style trim. However, here Skoda is offering the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Monte Carlo Edition which is accompanied by a 6 speaker sound system and a subwoofer. The unit also gets wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity and Skoda Play Apps. Besides this, the matte edition remains unchanged
Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition Powertrain
Under the hood, the Kushaq Matte Edition remains unchanged and features a choice of two engines. The 1.0L TSI 3 pot turbo-petrol motor gets paired to either a 6 speed MT or a 6 speed torque converter AT. This engine makes 115HP and 178NM. The other engine option is a 1.5 TSI 4 pot turbo-petrol which is paired to either a 6 speed MT or a 7 speed DSG automatic transmission. This combo packs in 150HP and 250NM.
Previously, the Kushaq was also rated 5 stars in a crash test conducted by Global NCAP.
Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition Price & Rivals
The Kushaq Matte Edition has been launched in a single trim with all the engine and gearbox options. Detailed price list is attached below(Ex-showroom). It will be limited to only 500 units.
The Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition will rival other SUVs such as the Volkswagen Taigun Matte Edition, Kia Seltos X-Line, Maruti Grand Vitara Black Edition and Hyundai Creta Night Edition among others.
