Tata Motors has launched the Tata Tiago facelift, bringing a comprehensive update to its entry-level hatchback. Alongside the launch of the ICE version, Tata Motors has also introduced the updated Tiago EV, which has been covered separately in a dedicated article here.

Tata Tiago facelift – Exterior Design

The Tata Tiago facelift receives a noticeable design update with a sharper and more contemporary appearance. The front end features new LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, along with a redesigned grille that adds to the car’s visual width. The profile is enhanced by updated 15-inch alloy wheel designs on higher variants and textured cladding around the wheel arches. At the rear, the Tiago now gets connected tail lamps with a lightbar effect, giving it a more modern look.

The Tiago facelift will also be offered in four new exterior colour options such as, Pangong Pulse, Varanasi Vibrance, Pure Grey and Sobo Surge. The other colour options carrier over from the outgoing model include Pristine White and Daytona Grey.

Tata Tiago facelift – Interior Design and Features

Inside, the Tiago gets a refreshed cabin with new materials and a more premium layout. The dashboard features a Fabricia Luxe finish, complemented by textured trims and a dual-tone interior theme. The steering wheel and center console have also been updated to match the new design direction.

In terms of features, the Tiago is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 5 inch digital instrument cluster, segment first dual wireless charging, and automatic climate control. Rear passengers benefit from AC vents and additional charging options, while connected car technology is also available, offering a range of app-based functions. Other features include wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, Passive Entry, Passive Start, Auto Fold ORVMs, Cooled Glovebox and more.

Tata Tiago facelift – Powertrain

The next-generation Tiago continues with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine. In petrol form, the engine produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque, and is available with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

The CNG version of the same engine produces 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm, and is also offered with manual and AMT options. The Tiago continues to use Tata’s twin-cylinder CNG technology, which is designed to preserve usable boot space while offering the efficiency benefits of CNG.

Tata Tiago facelift – Safety Features

Safety features in the new Tiago include six airbags as standard across variants, along with electronic stability control and hill hold assist. The car is also equipped with a segment first 360-degree surround view camera and a blind view monitor. Additional features include ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a reinforced body structure as part of Tata’s safety architecture.

Tata Tiago facelift – Price and Variants

The next-generation Tiago is offered in multiple personas including Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+A, Creative, and Creative+. Petrol manual prices start at ₹4.69 lakh for the Smart variant and go up to ₹7.29 lakh for the Creative+ variant.

For CNG variants, prices begin at ₹5.79 lakh and extend up to ₹7.99 lakh. Petrol AMT options are available from the Pure variant onwards, while CNG AMT variants are offered up to the Creative trim.

Tata Tiago facelift – Market Positioning and Rivals

The Tata Tiago facelift is positioned in the hatchback segment alongside models such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. It continues to cater to buyers looking for an affordable city hatchback with multiple fuel options and transmission choices.

In this space, the Tiago competes on the basis of its wide powertrain range, including petrol and CNG with manual and AMT options. It is also offered across a broad variant lineup, allowing buyers to choose between entry-level affordability and higher feature-loaded trims.
