Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the Toyota Fortuner Legender 4×4 with a manual transmission, priced at ₹46.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Previously, the SUV was only available with an automatic transmission in both 4×4 and 4×2 configurations. The new manual variant retains all the existing features and color options, with the only change being the transmission. Bookings are now open, and customers can reserve their vehicle online or at their nearest Toyota dealership. Deliveries are expected to commence soon.
The Fortuner Legender is available in three variants: the 4×2 AT at ₹44.1 lakh, the newly introduced 4×4 MT at ₹46.36 lakh, and the 4×4 AT at ₹48.1 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). Notably, the 4×4 manual version is ₹1.73 lakh more affordable than its automatic counterpart.
Under the hood, the Legender 4×4 MT is powered by a 2.8-liter, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 204 hp and 420 Nm of torque. In contrast, the automatic version of the same engine delivers 500 Nm of torque—an increase of 80 Nm over the manual. The manual variant features a 6-speed transmission, sending power to all four wheels, and offers both 4×4 High and 4×4 Low driving modes.
Feature-wise, the SUV continues to offer an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, a semi-digital instrument cluster, ventilated and 8-way power-adjustable driver and co-driver seats, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, front parking sensors, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more. In terms of safety, it is equipped with seven airbags, a rear camera with parking sensors, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, hill assist, and other essential safety features.
