TVS Motor Company has held the 2024 edition of their Motosoul festival in Goa on 6th and 7th December. Among a spree of reveals and showcases, it also included other events such as music performances, panel discussions, motorsport competitions and more.
RTXD4 Engine revealed
Of the few major announcements, TVS unveiled a new 299cc engine developed for its upcoming premium range of motorcycles. It gets some cutting edge technologies like a helical gearset, a split chamber crankcase, ride-by-wire and liquid cooled technology. TVS claims that this engine will offer a more linear torque curve and produce a peak of 34HP at 9000rpm with a peak torque of 28.5NM coming in at 7000rpm. It will be paired to a 6 speed manual transmission to enhance the long distance cruising capabilities.
While TVS has not revealed the motorcycles this will power, it is rumoured that their upcoming adventure tourer, codenamed RTX will be the first one to get this new engine.
TVS Ronin gets new colours
Besides the new engine, TVS also launched the updated Ronin range with two new colours- Glacier Silver and Charcoal Ember which replace the previous Delta Blue and Stargaze Black paint shades. Further, the mid-variants now also get equipped with dual-channel ABS to increase their safety quotient.
Besides these, some Ronin-based custom concepts were revealed as well while the full range of TVS two-wheelers were on display including the TVS X, iQube, Raider 125 and Apache RTR310 and more.
There were also motorsport events at Motosoul 2024 such as stunt showcases, Gymkhana competitions and track racing held.
