Audi India has officially introduced the new RS Q8 Performance SUV to the Indian market. This high-performance SUV is offered in a single, fully loaded variant, priced at ₹2.49 crore (ex-showroom), and will be imported via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Competing against the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne GTS, and BMW XM, the RS Q8 Performance sets a new benchmark in its segment.
Bookings for the SUV are now open, with a reservation amount of ₹5 lakh. Customers can place their orders exclusively online through Audi’s official website and the myAudi Connect app. However, Audi India has confirmed that the RS Q8 Performance is already sold out for the next six months. Notably, this is Audi’s most powerful SUV to date and holds the current record for the fastest production SUV lap around the Nürburgring.
Under the hood, the RS Q8 Performance is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 640 hp and 850 Nm of torque—an increase of 40 hp and 50 Nm over the standard RS Q8. This powerhouse is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels. The SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h. Performance enhancements include active roll stabilization, all-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, and Audi’s Quattro sport differential.
In terms of design, the RS Q8 Performance retains the silhouette of the standard Q8 but features a more aggressive and dynamic appearance. Key exterior updates include a refreshed black grille with a 3D honeycomb pattern, carbon-fiber accents on the front lip and air vents, redesigned front and rear bumpers with larger air intakes, and a prominent rear spoiler. It also comes equipped with LED Matrix headlights, OLED taillights, red brake calipers, a shark-fin antenna, customisable DRLs, large dual exhausts, and massive 23-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 295-section tires.
Inside, the SUV is packed with premium features, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, four-zone climate control, individually adjustable and reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a digital virtual cockpit, a powered tailgate, RS-specific drive modes, a 360-degree camera system, and hands-free parking.
