Hyundai Motor India has reached a significant milestone, completing 25 years of vehicle exports from India. The company began exporting in 1999 and has since shipped over 3.7 million cars to more than 60 countries worldwide. In 2024 alone, Hyundai exported 1,58,686 units, with Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru emerging as the top markets by volume.
Since production commenced in 2007, Hyundai has exported over 1.5 million units of the i10 family, which includes the i10, Grand i10, and Grand i10 Nios. Similarly, the Verna lineup—comprising models like the Verna, Verna Transform, and Fluidic Verna—has surpassed 500,000 units in exports. South Africa continues to be one of Hyundai India’s most significant markets, with total exports crossing 1 million units. In 2024, the company also began exporting the Exter micro SUV, making it the eighth made-in-India Hyundai model in South Africa.
Hyundai India’s export portfolio includes several popular models such as the Creta, Alcazar, Verna, Exter, and i10, further solidifying its position as a key player in the global automotive market.
