BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro to Launch Soon: What to Expect ?

BMW India has announced the launch of the all new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro. The luxury SUV will be officially launched in India on 16 February 2026, while pre launch bookings commence from 30 January 2026 across official BMW dealership networks and via the BMW India website. The BMW X3 will be locally produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai.

With this new variant, BMW aims to further strengthen the BMW X3’s presence in the Indian market by introducing updated design elements, a more powerful drivetrain, and an expanded feature list under the M Sport Pro package.

BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro – Exterior Design

The BMW X3’s front fascia is dominated by the illuminated glow kidney grille. Flanking the grille are sleek LED headlamps that integrate neatly into the front bumper, adding to the vehicle’s road presence. The M Sport Professional package is expect to add sport focused styling elements that further differentiate this variant from the standard model. These may include larger alloy wheels, darker exterior accents, and M specific detailing that underline the BMW X3 M Sport Pro’s performance orientation. At the rear, the BMW X3 features LED tail lamps with a sharp light signature, complemented by a clean tailgate design and a sport styled bumper.

BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro – Interior Design 

The X3’s interior design is centred around a large curved display that integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system into a single unit. This setup provides a clean interface for vehicle information, navigation, and connectivity functions. The M Sport Professional package may feature sport oriented elements such as M specific upholstery and contrast stitching.

The M Sport Pro variant will continue to offer the standard interior features of the BMW X3, including a panoramic sunroof, augmented display, heads-up-display, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, a 15 speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a comprehensive suite of comfort and convenience technologies.

BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro – Powertrain and Safety 

Under the hood, the BMW X3 30 xDrive is expected to be powered by a more powerful petrol engine that delivers a clear increase in power and torque over the X3 xDrive20 variant. BMW has not yet disclosed engine specs for the India spec model, the global spec X3 30 xDrive uses a 2 litre four cylinder twin turbo petrol engine producing 255 hp and is paired with an eight speed automatic transmission.

The same powertrain is expected to be offered on the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro for India. Power is sent to all four wheels through BMW’s xDrive all wheel drive system. For context, currently the X3 in India is offered in two variants, the xDrive20 petrol and the xDrive20d diesel, producing 190 hp and 197 hp respectively in the M Sport guise. While the upcoming  X3 30 xDrive will be positioned above them with the M Sport Pro trim.

Safety remains a key focus, BMW has equipped the X3 with eight airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features.

BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro – Expected Price and Rivals 

In the Indian market, the X3 is positioned as a premium luxury SUV that sits between entry level luxury offerings and larger full size SUVs.

Key rivals for the X3 include the Mercedes Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX. With its updated M Sport Professional package, the BMW X3 aims to strengthen its competitiveness in a closely contested segment. The upcoming launch marks an important step for BMW as it looks to maintain strong momentum in India’s luxury SUV market.
