Jeep Meridian facelift launched; Upto 6 Lakh price cut

Facelifted Meridian now gets an optional 5 seat layout

Jeep has launched a facelift of the Meridian SUV at a price of Rs. 24.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). Along with a massive price cut, it gets a few feature additions as well as minor cosmetic tweaks in a bid to boost sales and keep it refreshed. It is available in four variants.

2024 Jeep Meridian Facelift: what’s new

Starting off from the outside, the grille now gets slightly updated with a chrome studded pattern. It also gets new 18 inch alloy wheels which were previously available on the Overland edition which has now been made into a standard variant. Besides this, the exterior remains mostly identical to the outgoing model and features painted cladding on the top end variants. Inside is where more has changed. Inside, the Meridian is now available with a 5 seat layout in the base Longitude trim while the higher variants continue with a 7 seater configuration. There is also a new suede finish on the dashboard with copper stitching and highlights. The top trim also gets beige vegan leather upholstery while the lower variants continue with white interiors.

In terms of features, the Meridian now gets an ADAS Level 2 suite with features such as  adaptive cruise control with stop and go, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and lane keep assist, 360 degree camera, blind spot detection and more. Otherwise, the equipment list remains unchanged and features a 10.25 inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.1 inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats etc.

Under the hood, the Meridian remains unchanged with a single 2.0L diesel engine making 170HP and 350NM of torque. This can be had mated to a 6 speed manual or a 9 speed torque converter automatic transmission. It also gets optional four-wheel-drive.

2024 Jeep Meridian Facelift: Price & Variants

Jeep will be offering the Meridian in four basic trim levels- Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland. The base Longitude variant is available exclusively with the 5 seat layout and gets priced at Rs. 24.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Longitude Plus can be had for Rs. 27.50 Lakhs, the Limited (O) for Rs. 30.49 Lakhs and the top end Overland trim for Rs, 36.49 Lakhs (All prices Ex-showroom). Do note that these are introductory prices for the MT 4×2 variants. For the three lower variants, an AT can optionally be had for Rs. 3.5 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) extra with the Overland variant having the AT as standard. Further, the 4×4 is only available in the top trim for an additional Rs. 2 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).

The Jeep Meridian rivals other premium SUVs such as the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Hyundai Tucson among others.
