Maruti Brezza gets more safer with six airbags: Gets expensive by this much

Maruti Suzuki India has recently upgraded the Maruti Brezza compact SUV by making six airbags a standard feature across all variants, following a similar update to the Maruti Celerio. With this enhancement, the starting price of the Brezza now stands at ₹8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the top-end ZXI+ variant already included six airbags, so the price revision affects only the lower trims.

The Brezza is available in four main variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. The LXi, VXi, and ZXi trims also come with a CNG option, while the automatic transmission is offered in the VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus variants.

Due to the addition of four extra airbags, the base LXi variant has seen a price increase of up to ₹15,000. Meanwhile, the VXi and ZXi trims have experienced smaller hikes of ₹5,000 and ₹11,000, respectively.

In terms of features, the Maruti Brezza comes equipped with a 9-inch floating SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, connected-car technology, an Arkamys Surround Sense premium sound system, paddle shifters (AT only), a TFT multi-info display, an electric sunroof, a head-up display, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more.

Under the hood, the Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. This engine delivers 103 PS of power and 137 Nm of torque and is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Additionally, the Brezza is available with a CNG option, which is offered exclusively with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
