Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition; changes

Compared to the standard SE, the Charged Edition comes finished in a Chili Red shade with the roof in Multitone White along with Aspen White accents covering headlight and tail light rings, door handles, logos and the tailgate handle. Further, Frozen Red Sports Stripes with Energetic Yellow highlights on the bonnet, sides and boot of the car and air inlet in chrome are present too. Mini is also offering the 17 inch Electric Power Spoke alloy wheels with yellow accents to further drive home the sportiness.

Inside, there are no changes and the Charged Edition continues to get an 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 5.5 inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, TPMS etc. as a part of the equipment list. There are many optional add-ons as well.

Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition Powertrain

Under the hood, the Charged Edition remains unchanged and gets powered by an electric motor making 184HP and 270NM. The motor is paired to a 32.6kWh battery which gives a claimed range of 270Kms on one charge. 0-100 time is rated at 7.3 seconds. Further, Mini claims that the Cooper SE can be charged from 0-80% in just 36 minutes with 50kW DC charging. There are two driving modes as well- Sport and Green which change the responsiveness of the powertrain.

Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition Price

The Charged Edition is priced at Rs. 55 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) and will be limited to 20 units. It will be imported as a CBU(Completely Built Unit). There are no direct rivals to the Cooper SE, although it could rival other EVs such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 among others.
