Hero MotoCorp Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel Launched: Up to E85 Compliant !

Hero MotoCorp have launched flex fuel versions of the Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe, priced at Rs 82,710 and Rs 72,792 respectively, ex showroom Delhi. The motorcycles were unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri. These motorcycles are compatible with ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85 and will go on sale in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026, followed by a phased rollout across the country.

This marks the entry of flex fuel technology into the commuter motorcycle segment, which forms a significant share of the Indian two wheeler market.

Hero Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel – Design 

There are no major design changes compared to the standard models. Both motorcycles retain their familiar commuter styling. The flex fuel versions get new black with lime yellow graphics to differentiate them. The overall silhouette, body panels and hardware remain unchanged, keeping the focus on mechanical updates rather than visual changes.

Hero Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel – Features

Both the Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel are equipped with a digi analogue instrument cluster. They also get side stand engine cut off and tubeless tyres as standard.

The Splendor Plus Flex Fuel comes with the additional i3S idle stop start system, which helps improve efficiency in stop go traffic. Feature additions are minimal and aligned with their commuter positioning.

Hero Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel – Powertrain

Both motorcycles continue to use the 97.2 cc single cylinder engine, now updated to run on ethanol blends from E20 to E85. In E85 form, the engine produces 8.6 hp at 8000 rpm and 8.3 Nm at 6000 rpm. To support higher ethanol blends, Hero has updated the ECU calibration and added changes to the fuel system including a new fuel pump and secondary fuel filter. Safety equipment includes side stand engine cut off and tubeless tyres. There are no changes to braking hardware or chassis setup compared to the standard models.

Hero MotoCorp’s introduction of Flex Fuel motorcycles in the mass segment is a significant step towards reducing crude oil imports, supporting ethanol adoption, empowering farmers, and strengthening the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.”

Hero Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel – Price and Variants

The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel is priced at Rs 72,792 while the Splendor Plus Flex Fuel costs Rs 82,710, both ex showroom Delhi. The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel carries a marginal premium over its E20 compliant version, while the Splendor Plus Flex Fuel is priced higher by Rs 5,153. Both motorcycles will be available initially in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra from July 2026, with a nationwide rollout planned at a later stage. With this launch, flex fuel technology moves into the mass commuter space, making it more accessible in one of the highest volume segments in the country.
