The XUV700 gets updated in the face of new competition

Mahindra has announced a slight update to their popular SUV, the XUV700. The car gets cosmetic and feature updates to keep it modern in the face of new competition. Available in 5 variants, the price now starts from Rs. 13.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
2024 Mahindra XUV700; what’s changed
With this update, Mahindra has made minor cosmetic changes. These include a new Napoli Black paint shade available across the range. The top-end AX7 and AX7L variants finished in this colour will also get more changes such as a blacked out grille and alloys as well. Additionally, Mahindra has also introduced dual-tone paint options on all colours in which the roof will be finished in the Napoli Black shade.
Going inside, the AX7 and AX7L variants now get dark chrome AC vents and bezels, ventilated front seats and optional 6 seater layout which adds two captain seats in the second row. Notably, Mahindra has also updated the infotainment system. The 10.25 inch touchscreen now features Over-The-Air updates, M-Lens feature which shows information about important controls etc. These new functionalities will be a part of the AdrenoX subscription. Another new addition is Electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs with memory function in the AX7L variants.
2024 Mahindra XUV700: Engine, Price
Besides these changes, the 2024 XUV700 remains the same under the hood. There is a 2.0L turbo-petrol making 200HP and 380NM along with a 2.2L Mhawk diesel with 182HP and 450NM of torque. Both engines come with a choice of either a 6 speed manual or 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox options. The Diesel also gets an optional all-wheel-drive system.
In terms of variants, Mahindra will offer it in 5 major variants- MX, AX3, AX5, AX7 and AX7L with prices ranging from Rs 13.99 Lakhs to Rs. 23.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). It will be available for bookings from 15th January with test drives starting on 25th January. The XUV700 competes with other large SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector and Hyundai Alcazar among others.
