Vinfast has launched the Vinfast VF MPV7 in India at an introductory price of Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks the brand’s first launch in India for 2026 and positions the MPV7 as its flagship offering in the market. Vinfast entered India last year with the VF6 and VF7, and the MPV7 now expands its portfolio further. Alongside the launch, the company has introduced multiple ownership schemes, including extended warranties and buyback options.
Vinfast VF MPV7 – Exterior Design
The Vinfast VF MPV7 features a typical upright MPV stance with a focus on space and road presence. It measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. At the front, the MPV7 gets connected LED DRLs paired with LED projector headlamps. The rear features a connected LED lighting setup, along with a high-mounted stop lamp, rear spoiler, and shark fin antenna.
The design remains clean and functional, with black plastic cladding around the bumpers and wheel arches. It rides on 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, which complement the overall design while aiding efficiency. The MPV7 is offered in six exterior colour options: Infinity Blanc (white), Jet Black, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby (red), Moonlit Ocean (blue), and Introspective Brown.
Vinfast VF MPV7 – Interior Design and Features
Inside, the VF MPV7 follows a minimalistic layout. It is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with very few physical buttons. Most controls are integrated into the screen, while the steering wheel houses the key controls. The D-cut steering wheel is wrapped in leatherette.
The cabin offers three rows of seating. The second row is both reclinable and slidable with a 60:40 split, while the third row gets a 50:50 split. Practicality is a strong point, with boot space rated at 126 litres with all three rows up, expandable up to 1,260 litres with seats folded. Additional features include cup holders and a centre armrest. The interior is offered in two colour options: Black and Brown.
Vinfast VF MPV7 – Battery and Range
The VF MPV7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack. It produces 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Vinfast claims a range of 517 km on a single charge. Charging performance is also notable, with a 10 to 70 percent charge achievable in 30 minutes under fast-charging conditions.
Vinfast VF MPV7 – Ownership Benefits
Vinfast is backing the MPV7 with an extensive ownership package. It includes:
- 3-year free maintenance
- 10-year battery warranty
- 7-year vehicle warranty
- 5-year suspension warranty
- 7-year paint warranty
Additionally, the brand is offering a buyback scheme of 75 percent of the ex-showroom price after 2 years and 55 percent after 5 years. Customers will also benefit from free charging support until March 31, 2029, applicable across Vinfast’s lineup.
Vinfast VF MPV7 – Market Positioning and Rivals
The Vinfast VF MPV7 is positioned as a premium electric three-row offering, with prices starting at Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It enters a growing segment of family-focused EVs and competes with models like the Kia Carens EV, Clavis EV, Mahindra XEV 9S, and the BYD eMAX 7. VinFast has opened bookings for the MPV7 at Rs 21,000, with reservations available online and through its authorised dealerships. While the brand has not officially announced delivery timelines yet, deliveries are expected to commence in the near future.
