JSW MG Motor India has launched the new MG Majestor in India at an introductory price of Re 40.99 lakh for the 4×2 automatic variant and Rs 44.99 lakh for the 4×4 automatic version (ex-showroom). Bookings for the SUV are already open, with customers able to reserve it online or at MG dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 41,000. The first 3,000 customers to pre-book the Majestor will receive a package that includes a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance and a five-year labour-free service plan.
Positioned as MG’s flagship internal combustion engine-powered SUV, the Majestor takes on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, Jeep Meridian and Isuzu MU-X.
MG Majestor – Exterior Design
In terms of design, the SUV gets a large matrix-style grille, split headlamp setup and Falcon-inspired daytime running lights at the front. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear features connected LED tail-lamps, a sculpted tailgate and Majestor badging. Other exterior highlights include faux twin exhaust tips, a skid plate, integrated spoiler and rear wiper with washer.

MG Majestor – Interior Design and Features
Inside, the dashboard has been finished with piano black finishes and silver accents. The feature list includes dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MG’s i-Smart 2.0 connected car technology, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, ventilated and massage-enabled front seats, three-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers, panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, ambient lighting and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate.

MG Majestor – Powertrain
Powering the Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215hp and 479Nm, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The SUV is available with a 4×4 system featuring MG’s M-Hub all-terrain management software, which offers up to 10 selectable drive and terrain modes. It also comes with an M-Crawl function for low-speed off-road driving, three differential locks and a claimed water-wading capability of up to 810mm.

MG Majestor – Safety Features
Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS functions such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring. Other safety features include electronic stability control, hill hold and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a surround-view camera and six airbags.
